Courtney Arntzen

Associate Pastor

Courtney Arntzen finds great joy in collaboratively creating engaging worship experiences with the intergenerational community of First Presbyterian Church of Missoula, Montana (the church made famous by A River Runs Through It). Music, once only a hobby, has become a vital part of her ministry since arriving in Missoula in 2013.

Courtney previously served as pastor of the Presbyterian Church in the rural community of Chinook, Montana. While there, she participated in launching several ecumenical ministries including a nationally recognized youth ministry, a summer lunch program, and the only rural national site in the PC(USA)'s Young Adult Volunteer program.

Courtney studied in Seattle and Australia, earning a BA in Speech Communication before moving to Vancouver, BC where she obtained an MDiv from Regent College.

She recently discovered the wonder of kickboxing which has quickly become her favorite way to pray and relieve stress. At home, she celebrates by dancing with her husband, Alec and two boys, Ezra and Elias.
